Building Prosperous Black Men

What is the CEO Program

CEO is an acronym that stands for “creating economic opportunities for oneself and one’s community.” The core idea behind the CEO Program is that Black men must focus on “creating” jobs, not merely “seeking” them. It’s a personal and business empowerment track that emphasizes two key principles: righteousness and justice.

You cannot create prosperity by law. Sustained thrift, industry, application, intelligence, are the only things that ever do, or ever will, create prosperity. But you can very easily destroy prosperity by law.

Our Mission & Vision
  • Mission: To build financially and economically wealthy and strategically powerful Black men in a racist society.
  • Vision: To create prosperous and powerful Black families and communities throughout America.
The Need For The CEO Program

The CEO Program was born from the recognition that many Black men face systemic barriers, from educational setbacks to legal issues, that limit their ability to succeed financially. With disproportionate unemployment, mass incarceration, and limited upward mobility, Black men face structural challenges that prevent financial equity and personal prosperity.

As we advocate for national policy changes through our Advance 2026 Black empowerment agenda, the CEO Program is a personal self-empowerment program that gives Black men the tools to succeed personally despite racial barriers.

Our Approach

The CEO Program is designed around two comprehensive tracks: the Personal Development Track and the Business Development Track.

  • Personal Development Track: This track includes 10 essential steps that every African American man should follow to establish a solid foundation for personal growth. The program requires a 10-week commitment to immerse participants in these principles, ranging from discovering one’s purpose to building strong family values and creating multiple income streams. By the end of this track, participants will have cultivated the mindset and resilience necessary for success in both their personal lives and entrepreneurial ventures.
  • Business Development Track: Upon completing the personal development phase, participants advance to the Business Development Track, tailored for aspiring entrepreneurs who are eager to launch and manage their own businesses. This 12-week track equips participants with practical skills in areas such as business planning, securing financing, marketing, and scaling a business.

We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community... Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own.

Admission and Tuition Requirements

The admission requirement for the CEO program will not be stringent.  However, an applicant must show:

  • He or she is a non-violent criminal offender;
  • Possesses a high school diploma or GED; and
  • Has a credible business idea

Tuition in the CEO program will be minimal.  The length of the program will be approximately eight-weeks.  Graduates will receive a certificate and a small amount of seed money to start their business.
